Hey, welcome to the course. Over eleven lessons, you'll build an AI trading system from nothing. We start with an empty server, add an AI agent you can text from your phone, and then build Bentley on top of it, one working piece at a time. Bentley is a real system. It runs every day on one small server, and everything you'll see on screen comes from it. This first lesson is the big picture: what Bentley is, the ground rules, and how the whole thing fits together, so every later lesson has a place to land.

So here's the goal. From an empty server to a working trading co-pilot. A Hostinger server, the Hermes agent, a GPT or Claude brain, and then Bentley, built one section at a time. Before any of that, four ground rules. First, this is education, not advice. Nothing in this course is a trade signal or a promise of returns, and trading crypto carries a high risk of loss. Second, paper first. Everything starts on pretend money. A system earns your trust on paper before real money goes anywhere near it. Third, Bentley is a co-pilot, not a money printer. It works with you, and how you manage each trade changes your results, so nothing is guaranteed. And fourth, build along or just watch. Every command is on the slides, so pause the video whenever you want to type along.

Here's how the course runs. Four parts, eleven lessons. This one is the opening. Lessons two to four are the server: a Hostinger box, locked down, running the Hermes agent with a GPT or Claude brain you can text. Lessons five to ten are the big part, building Bentley. Ten build steps: the data feeds, the dashboard, the AI setups, the market regime, context, the guardrails, the trader and the ledger. And lesson eleven is what we learned. The ideas that failed, what it costs to run, and a plan for your first 30 days.

So, meet Bentley. Bentley is an AI analyst that lives on one small server. It watches Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP around the clock, and it works alongside the trader, not instead of them. It pulls prices, funding, open interest and positioning from free public feeds. It writes trade setups, each with an entry zone, a stop and targets, and every setup gets a score out of 100. It argues both sides, the long and the short, and when there's no trade, it says so. Now, here's the most important line on this slide. Hard rules decide what's allowed to fire. The AI only suggests. And finally, it answers you on Telegram, and it grades its own calls a day later.

Here's how it all fits together. Six stages, one direction, and every stage writes to disk, so the next stage can read it, and so can you. Stage one, the data feeds: prices, funding, open interest, positioning, macro and news. Stage two, scoring. Plain code, no AI, turns that raw data into a market score. Stage three, the AI brain. It reads the data, writes the setups and explains them. Stage four, the risk gates. Hard rules decide what's allowed to fire. Stage five, the trader. Paper first, then an exchange demo account. And stage six, the ledger, which grades every decision 24 hours later. On top of every stage sit the dashboard, the Telegram bot and an 8am summary. They read from all of it, so nothing happens that you can't see. And underneath, it's all one Hostinger server, running Ubuntu, the Hermes agent, a handful of Python services on timers, and Caddy for HTTPS.

That's the whole map. Keep it in your head, because every lesson from here builds one box on it. In the next lesson, we rent the server, connect to it with a key, and lock it down. I'll see you there.

What's inside

From an empty server to a co-pilot

Four parts. Lesson 01 is the big picture. In Part 01 you type along and end with an AI agent on your own server that you can text. Part 02 is the design of Bentley itself, with the build order, its real screens and example code to brief Claude Code with. Part 03 is what we learned, and your first month.

Part 01Lessons 02 to 04

The server

Type along, command by command, with every command on a card you can copy: a Hostinger server you lock down, the Hermes agent with a GPT or Claude brain, and a private Telegram line with limits on your AI spending.

Part 02Lessons 05 to 10

How Bentley is built

The ten build steps in the order we would follow again: data feeds, the dashboard, scored AI trade setups, market regime, six risk gates, a paper trader, the ledger and alerts. Real screens, simplified example code and a step-by-step Claude Code prompt for each build step.

Part 03Lesson 11

What we learned

What didn't survive testing, the mistakes we would avoid, the running costs, and a plan for your first month building your own version, with prompts to turn it into your agent's plan.

Claude Code prompts

For each build step: a ready-to-paste brief that has Claude Code build that piece of your own version, not a copy of Bentley.

What this is, and what it isn't

This is

  • Hands-on in Part 01: you type along and end with your own server and AI agent.
  • The design behind the real Bentley in Part 02, with its screens, example code and a Claude Code prompt for each build step.
  • Paper trading first, then an exchange demo account.
  • Honest about what didn't work, including our own ideas.

This isn't

  • Trade signals or financial advice.
  • A promise of profit. Nothing is guaranteed.
  • A copy of Bentley to install. You build your own version, briefing Claude Code and checking its work.
  • A hosted product. You run it, and you pay its running costs.

Questions

Before you buy

What do the lessons look like?

Narrated slides with real screens from Bentley, captions on, about 53 minutes in total. Under each video are step-by-step prompt cards to copy and paste. Lesson 01 at the top of this page is exactly what the other ten videos look like, so watch it first.

Do I need to know how to code?

You don't need to be a programmer. Bentley was built by a product designer directing Claude Code, and the course works the same way: you write the brief, Claude Code writes the code, and you check the result. In Part 01 every command is on screen and on a card you can copy, so you can type along. In Part 02 each build step comes with a ready-to-paste prompt for Claude Code rather than every command, so expect to run terminal commands, edit config files and check what Claude Code builds. Our free guide to building a crypto trading bot with Claude Code shows how that way of working goes.

What does it cost to run?

Expect tens of dollars a month on top of the course. The biggest fixed cost is the server at Hostinger. For the AI, you either use a ChatGPT subscription or pay per use for Claude through its API, with a spend limit set. Telegram, HTTPS and the market data cost nothing. These are other companies' prices and they change, so check them before you start.

Will this make me money?

We can't promise that, and nobody honestly can. The course teaches how the system is built and how to test ideas on paper, including several of our own ideas that had no edge once trading costs were counted. Trading crypto carries a high risk of loss.

Is this financial advice?

No. Nothing in the course is a trade signal, a recommendation or financial advice. The AI suggests, hard rules decide what is allowed, and you make every call. Read the full risk and education disclaimer.

Can I get a refund?

All sales are final. That is why lesson 01 is free to watch first. If you are charged twice, or you can't get into the course and we can't fix it, email bentley@bentleymarkets.com and we will put it right.

How long do I keep access?

For life. Lifetime access means for the life of the course: you can watch it for as long as we offer it. If it ever closes, you get 60 days' notice and a way to download every lesson.

How do I get access after I pay?

After you pay through Stripe's checkout, we email you your sign-in for the course. If you have not heard from us, email bentley@bentleymarkets.com.

Is this the same as Bentley Academy?

No. Bentley Academy is the free beginner course on trading itself. The Build course is about building the system: the server and the agent step by step, then the design behind Bentley.

The Build course is education only. Nothing in it is financial, investment or tax advice, a trade signal, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Trading crypto carries a high risk of loss, and leverage makes losses bigger and faster. Everything in the course starts on paper, and nothing is guaranteed.
